The mandated function of the Township is for the assessment of property, administration of elections and collection of taxes for the county and schools. They also provide fire protection for property outside the village except for mutual aid. All properties located in the Township, including Village of Maybee properties, are taxed at approximately one mill plus administration fee for the operation of the Township.
